Welcome to Animals' Wisdom's Journal

You know when you are trying to get out of the house to get to work or an appointment, your arms are full of bags or paperwork and books and you just need to get out the door?  You are probably thinking...I am not going to get there on time...the traffic is going to be bad...I am so disorganized...why didn't I leave earlier...?  Is this when you find your dear companion chooses to lay in their favorite 'sun spot' IN FRONT of the door? Or is this when your dog companion is sitting in front of the door staring up at you? Or are they underfoot and you are thinking...why now? Do we have to do this NOW?

Pause for a moment...just for a moment. Breathe. In this chaotic moment they are wanting you to pause for just 30 seconds and choose to be in the moment.  Acknowledge them, thank them, tell them you love them.  You will see, they will move and allow you to continue with your day. Our dear animal companions want us to be happy, healthy and content in the present moment. Everything is always OK in the present moment.

Anytime you are stressed, ask yourself, what would Starr do? What would Fluffy do? What would Sloopy do? What would your dear animal companion do? They would probably sit, breathe, wag their tail if they have one and JUST BE. If you can do this for even 30 seconds a day, you will see the positive difference in yourself and in your life.

What would Starr do? Starr is my beautiful pit bull companion who reminds me to stop, breathe and appreciate every day. She is one of my greatest teachers! Please check back often for journal updates, thank you for reading and have a wonderful day full of present moments!
